Thread: WS Points and Campaign?    

Does anyone know for sure if you can get WS points for WSNM latents or the KS30 weapons in Campaign? I'd guess probably not as you can't skill up there, but if anyone knows for sure?

yes you can, me and a friend of mine duoed his detonator WS off of campaign alone

edit: you can skill up there too, at least I got more than one, though I was beating on a mob without tags when I was half asleep, may be different with tags

Were you off tags when you unlocked detonator also?

no, the period in which i was off tags was about a 30 second interval in which i wasn't aware of what the hell i was doing, just happened to get a 0.1 parry in that time

we were both on tags the entire time

Good to know. You can't clear a trial weapon in Besieged, but you can in Campaign. Handy!

Eh? I thought it was proven you couldn't? I got 22 points during Besieged, then when I finished clearing out of Besieged I was actually 22 short. Eventually a thread popped up here saying roughly the same thing and I posted my ever so exciting 22 points short info.

Maybe there was another thread after that showing that some of us fail at counting?

I was always under the impression that in order to unlock latents with WS points, the mob you do things on had to give exp (meaning skillchaining on CFH'd mobs doesn't even work, nor does doing it on TW mobs, or Besieged ones).

*shrug*

I know people disproved the Dynamis rumour, so I kind of figured it followed the same pattern as learning Blue Mage spells. (I also could have sworn people disproved the Besieged rumour, but I suppose not)

If it's possible to skill up in campaign, you're probably the only person I've ever heard of that's been able to do it. Would need to see screens to prove it, otherwise... SSOIDH :/

Wow, some people are lying on here, you cannot get any skill ups in campaign when you have the sword icon (allied tags).

i didn't get a skill up with tags, i already said that

i'm just saying I was able to get one by beating on a campaign mob WITHOUT tags (which is really damn stupid to do anyway)

You clearly identified you got a skill up while off tags, while some still believes it is not the case and think they can prove otherwise. Still waiting for ss'!

Who believes it's not the case to be able to get skill ups on Campaign mobs while off tags? Or did you mean on. Because friends and I do that all the time; if they level a job up in Campaign, they'll do a few Campaigns without tags to skill it up. It's slower than Exp mobs unfortunately and doesn't seem to work well past like 60-65, but it's nice when you have an underleveled skill or something. Someone else is tanking the mobs for you.
