Thread: [Ifrit] Keston (bc)    

Read some very nasty, and a few untrue things posted by someone in the "Shit List Thread". I'm not going to humor their low class behavior with a response there. But what I will do, is make this thread, and prompt the friends who I've known and played with over the last 3 years (by sending them url/thread/forum name) to post. The malice (and creativity) of those who hate to that extent is funny to witness. In any case, here it is.

This is not the place for your drama, those with disdain... so please refrain from flaming here. I will not respond to them. This does not mean I've no material to defend/refute against them, just that I refuse to come down to that level. I've made this thread for my friends to find a place to post their history with me.

Also, I do apologize if the BCs aren't supposed to be posted by the person in question. Though seeing the unprovoked attacks on my character, wasn't exactly sure of any other means to display feedback on me from the people who know me.

Hi all, would like to introduce myself. Name is Donon and I am on ifrit server. I am here on behalf of Keston. First off, Just would like to say don;t believe everything you see. I am here to tell the truth and mark my word none of it will be false.

About a year ago, my first Endgame LS Quetzal broke up and turned social. I decided I was going to look for another Sky LS. In jeuno I saw Keston shouting to start his own Sky LS and sure I heard a couple things here and there, but I decided to give it a try out. Not going to get into much detail but within a 2 months of starting his LS. SupaNova was and I do not say this lightly, one of the top three SKY LS's at that time. He built a dedicated LS and took those under his wing and made all of them sky ready. After very successful sky runs, SN built a name for itself by .......do not remember exact number but something like 15-0 on sky gods. This may not seem like much now, but this is with all members new to sky and very few who were veteran's. I lol when I see some people saying keston would not come what job was needed for an event.Back in Sky we ALWAYS had a shortage of RDM, and I knew keston and I know how much he hated RDM. But yet he would still always come RDM because he knew it was needed. As for the problem of him being greedy and wanting everything well I can say b.s right there because I cannot even remember a time he lotted on anything from camping HNM/SKY. THE ONLY reason why SupaNova is not going to this day is because Keston took a break from FFXI and no one was willing to step up and finish what he started. I don't want to here his LS failed because it did not, it was very successful and I am very proud to have had an experience in his shell.

The next and last thing I wish to address is the Oh so famous Keston is an ass line. I am not gonna lie like I said because, Keston can be a complete ass. Sure if you are in a party and you really aren't doing your job, Keston will be there one with his hand up telling you what you should do. Frankly, I am glad he does that because after his "Constructive Critisizm(sc)", the party would then prosper. Keston is what you say hardheaded and he loves things to be perfect and how he would do it. I am saying this right now keston is a good guy, and once you get to know him is actually hilareous and makes the game more enjoyable. Sure there are those people who caught Keston in a bad mood or just pushed him the wrong way and gotten a nice remark from Keston. But cmon, who hasn't thrown remarks at other players. All in all Keston is an incrediebly good player and a good friend. I wish him the best wherever he goes and am thankful to have the experiences I have had with him.

A Apocalpyse has to be unfolding if I find myself in agreeance with Navyr, Judai, Lokiseinn and Grimblade at the same time. You've gotta know something is up. Prepare your stocks of water and rations if Malkav, Misharu, Patter, or Eiketsu get on here.

Facts:
- I haven't been in same linkshell, party, alliance, or any event whatsoever with Judai in over 2 years.
- I was in an LS with Judai for a period of 4-6 months.
- In the time I was in an LS with Judai, I had 2-3 LVL.75 Jobs (DRG PLD BLM). (Now given this, how could a person claim, that I suck at all my jobs as if they've seen it to be so). I have 9 lvl.75s, a lvl.72, and a lvl.65 at the moment. With 278 Merits spread across them in applicable categories.

Now, what could it be that drives this person's hatred with such passion? The only thing I've observed that can do this, to anyone, is malcontent and/or malice. Really, thats my comment toward Judai's attacks.

I've asked in my initial post that this not be used as a thread/medium for flaming. But the unprovoked, and angry (alla'esque) manner of this poster doesn't have much regard for that. I still won't stoop to his manner though, which I think has always infuriated him (and many others).

well, i am a player from ifirt not a very great one, but not a bad one also i would say
i know kes for about a year now(may be a bit less, but long enough)
i never see a keston like what u metion (like not changing job when asked him to..etc etc, u did say a lot lol)
i dont know how old is the examlpes u are saying, but surely not within a year.

no one is prefect, i know kes sometime over-react when thing went wrong (like someone made a mistake)
but it is alright, at least i am sure he wont be the first one who made the mistake.

For a note to the grammar nazis, Mcmk is from Hong Kong, and english is not his first language. But he gets his point across. I've known him for about a year and a half (when i started my ls). One of the few others who had attendance/points as high as myself in the linkshell.

Yep, and I used it in exactly that context. But they apparently didn't get it... thought i was posting child porn. And hence proceeding to make comments as such.

A BC is what it says it is: Background Check, and one should assume that it must cover all angles. Asking for your friends to post only is not an option. Take the good with the bad.

Notes to consider:

-I do not hate Keston, never did, just thought he was an incredible douche. (Does that qualify as hate? idk.)
-True, I have not played with Keston for a very, very long time.
-Fact, I still hear people randomly comment on his 'ways', 'actions', 'stupidity', 'assholeness' etc. There are probably links to many places that people vent about keston.
-True, yes, I think it has died down more recently, but also, I just stopped caring when someone mentioned his name. (This was a gem of an exception, yes I must admit.)

My story with him as all ready been posted-- I tried to befriend him after everything happened, said I was sorry, and wanted to work towards the good of the linkshell.

Nearest to the truth I can say without proof was his exact words: I refuse to take anyone off Blist, for whatever reason, that I cannot recall.

Regardless, he became belligerent and stubborn over something he shouldn't have been, especially since we were in the same LS, and I was coordinating events.

For whomever he is posting this for, all I really have to say is, be careful.

He IS arrogant, he CAN be mean, stubborn, and belligerent. He can, and will, piss off people, cause problems, and most of all: BE remembered because it tends to get remembered. People may remember the good things about Keston from his friends that tolerated him for so long, but it's when the bad shit happens that everyone remembers him, and it's "life-lasting."

Also, I do happen to think he still sucks on more than a couple jobs, have heard stories of his other job, and I think instead of leveling every job to 75, he should take some time to actually pratice, and dedicate severe time, gil, items, merits to at least a few.

I'm torn. Half of me wants to let people know what I feel, and why I feel that way. The other half wants to lie and claim what he thinks is true: BESTEST PLAYER EVER. Sorry, but I guess GL, still. Giving people the heads up, but you still moving is the best I can hope for, I imagine.

I don't know about anyone else, but the quote above, and the content of this post (my time/merits invested), would seem to put Airenn's accusation at a disadvantage in credibility. If a person can look at the merits above, and say it shows no dedication, or understanding on my part to performance of my jobs... then really, not much point in trying to change their mind. Anyhow, this is just an example of the patterns in their disdain and how it relates to the claims. You wish someone misfortune, so you try your hardest to make it so... even if it means making up or voicing your opinions and/or ignorance as facts.

The main reason I am moving servers, is to be rid of angry and bitter personalities such as those displaying their age-old tendencies here.

I am originally from Ifrit server and while I dont know Judai or Keston or Airenn in game, I have read some of the Ifrit boards over the past few years and here is what what I have seen happen more than once.

Judai - Never met a internet fight/war he didn't like. Thinks he is the man. Spends all day writing essay type posts which no one reads. Seems to be a drama monger in every sense of the word. I think he is now in a LS with some of my good friends from Ifrit, I feel bad for them.

Airenn - Likes to add to flame wars. Usually with pithy comments and nothing of real substance. Flames like its a chick irl. Maybe it is.

Keston - Gets ripped up alot and more than once. Seems like a few people have a major problem with him. They are the only ones who care to ever post about him. Isn't very good at defending himself. Should keep his posts short and to the point so people can't dissect his posts even more. He has probably done some messed up shit but I think that goes for just about everyone in this game. A few people that are in my LS now I couldnt stand before they joined and now they are great members and rarely if ever cause a problem.

Oh and Ifrit is one of the sorriest servers out of all. They just started kiling wyrms and other shit about 6 months ago. They have no real solid HNM LS. Their best LS is full of retards (besides the leaders) and the other top LS is about 2031923012380 members. I dont think anyone on Ifrit has any real idea what it is like to be an HNM LS. They are all just wannabes that still cry about botting and other 2005 (2004?) shit on the daily. Hoping a few of more of my friends transfer out of there soon and come join my LS when we have space.
