    Footwork - New MNK JA info

    Testing this out atm on Lesser Colibri, I'm getting 13TP per Kick, no H2H punches at all, just kicks. It's slower than H2H, but can Double Attack, so 26TP for a Double Attack...

    Best part, I'm getting stupid TP returns off Asuran Fists, I just hit a 43TP return on one. Gonna do more testing lol, but this is awesome, it also bumped my attack up from 383 to 420 as 75MNK/35DNC(Yes, it's a gimp sub, I'm working on it XD).

    Also seems like Counterstance, 5 min duration, 5 min recast.

    footwork and hundred fists don't work together and it seems my equipment +haste isn't effecting utsusemi recast timers with footwork up.

    Stuck updating still, else i'd do it. Can someone test this stance without any double attack enhancement (aka, no /war and no brutal)? I'm wondering if the Kick Attacks trait works as a "double attack" trait or if it does either nothing or changes your delay (i guess you'd need kick attack gear to test this one).

    They added a bunch of shoes with visible "enhances kick attacks" stats on them, I wonder how they compare to dune boots.

    I'll check, I have my Melee Hose on me and can take Brutal off(MNK/DNC)

    Edit!: Yes, Double Attack can happen on Kicks Attacks with Footwork, without my Brutal Earring on.

    I've had DA procs without /war or Brutal on. Not many, but I've had a few at least, I have 5/5 Kick merits and was wearing Melee Hose.

    Okie, thanks~ So it's likely to be Kick Attacks just acting like a pseudo double attack. Unless ofcourse this stance comes with a personal double attack chance, which seems way far fetched to be any likely.

    But heres my mini info

    You can counter with footwork but you seem to do DMG from H2H DMG on counter not footwork DMG

    here's my average DMG i was MNK/BLM

    all on lesser colibri

    With footwork
    With Dune boots

    DMG from 175-200
    Counter around 110
    Asuran Fists 900-1k
    Dragon Kick 900-1k

    With Footwork
    Without Dune boots

    DMG from 90-150
    Counter 100-110
    Asuran fist 700-800
    Dragon Kick 600

    So Dune boots seems to affect Asuran Fist and Dragon Kick WITH footwork.

    Because without my DMG was normal.

    Attack from 400 to 444 with footwork as MNK/BLM and Dune boots dosnt add base attack to footwork

    Yup, definitely noticed the higher tp from getting hit too.

    Anyone else wanna try comparing DK? I've done about five each with Footstance and without, all my full TP returns vs. Lesser Colibri are coming up a couple hundred damage higher with FS on. Tiny sample size of course, but it might be worth further investigation.

    Lets hope this is intentional and not a bug. The slightly higher TP gain offsets the loss of melee damage while the increase in WS damage balances it back out, I would expect it to be on par or perhaps slightly ahead of a monk in normal stance. While it seems like a lot of TP (and yes the Weaponskill TP return will sadly be nerfed) people forget that monks can gain up to 26 tp per round with double attacks and kick attacks, and a round is about 200 weapon delay on average. So while you attack less, and slower in this stance you gain equal TP to that of a full melee monk.

    I noticed the increased damage on dragon kick and was pleasantly surprised. What I really want to know is if this is useful in any endgame activities or are we still only able to melee too weak mobs for giggles.

    Haste seems somewhat broken on this JA though, none of my gear is having any effect. What this means is Melee Hose > Byakko Haidate when using this JA. For normal mobs melee will still produce more DPS but I'm hoping this has uses beyond merit parties, to give monks something to do in HNM but I am doubtful that even if this is the case that shells will accept anything beyond their "throw more sams and mages at it" mentality.

    Footwork doesn't do anything if you have staff equipped, you just swing normally.
