Basically a collection of pieces of all the various JP articles that reported on the event so far.

Aegis - great relic, or the greatest relic?Paladin - Magic to reflect back damage that was blocked by a shield.
---------------------------------
Even though most of this was just a repeat of whats been popping up in the Goddess section, I love you for putting it all in one post, in an organized manner.
You rule Elmer, thanks.
Thanks a lot Elmer for your awesomeness.
Was this waste of time question really asked?Q: Will you add a Cheese Sandwich recipe?
A: (Tanaka) I love Cheese Sandwiches too.
Yes, and everyone is still making fun of it.Originally Posted by Ddong

I also want to know why all sites are saying different things about the PLD ability, and not marking things 'considered' when they stressed certain things where maybe's. I'm going to second guess my own ears at this and go back and ask some people what they remember about PLD, but I'm confident I heard "job ability or spell, we're undecided yet'. I don't remember them saying anything about it being shield blocked in order to be reflected. Its always possible this information comes from SE and varies a little from what we where told/was translated into english.
I dunno. The PLD thing bugs me because of the wide variety of things people post about it when it wasn't completely clarified, and the 'considered' thing bugs me because, like with bst there, some of the stuff listed isn't happening until later. They said they where CONSIDERING lowering reward, and adding pet foods that erased enfeebles.
Very nice post, thanks!
thanks so much elmer <3
One of the reasons I posted this was because the JP articles seemed to be much more specific about the new adjustments. For Paladin they said:Originally Posted by Apelila

Pretty specifically says what it does.
I think it's because everything it developed in Japanese, and then has to be translated for the American audience. The terminology can vary not just between the two games, but also between the two sets of players, who make their own terms to go along with certain actions and aspects of the game.
For instance, the 1-UP review of WotG mentioned one of Dancer's Flourishes could "set up the enemy for a skillchain." Milkman then went on to guess that maybe it weakens them? locks them in place? lowers evasion? in an effort to figure out the vagueness of "set up."
Meanwhile, the answer was given way back in the Tokyo Game Show, where they said one of the Flourishes would be a ???? "Renkei Toss." It's a term that invokes the imagery of "tossing out" an initial weapon skill to "set up" the Skill chain to be completed. NA players wouldn't get "Skillchain Toss," and so the vague terminology effectively lost the meaning of the ability for poor Milkman.
As for Beastmaster, the voke-like ability will appear on 11/20, but the further enhancements will come in updates following. I'll correct that for clarity.
Thanks for the info Apelila, and don't hesitate to point out other discrepancies.
omg. after reading your translated notes i think it finally dawned on me how SE intends for BST to be a tank.
Judging by the wording here it doesn't sound like this is strait up giving Warrior a Counter like MNK or SAM via Seigan. This sounds a lot more like a "Revenge" ability [or trait] that will [give a chance to] return a melee attack directed at you with another attack of your own (you still take damage), differing from Counter which replaces an enemy's attack with your own. If you've played the Xenosaga series you probably know what I mean. Definitely a cool idea, especially if it can be obtained from WAR sub.Originally Posted by Elmer the Pointy

That should cover most everything, save for the special omg announcement planned for tonight.
