Does look pretty good, but aside from the fact that it's not burning white hot, It's also moving like it's caught in tar. The time from atmosphere to impact would be nearly a blink of an eye. You'd be killed by the shockwave before you knew what hit you that close to ground zero.
Nitpicking at physics aside, it looks pretty freaky awesome. |

Yea, the asteroid is moving far too slow to make sense in a physics-based world. It also would be burning the whole way down and unless you were thousands of miles away you wouldn't see it coming.
