Default NBA 2008-2009 Season

As a Lakers fan I'm excited about this season and the competition in the west is going to insane.

Starts Tuesday with Cleveland vs Boston and Lakers vs Portland.

To kick it off here's a hilarious video:

It's going to be a fun season, but I don't think it will be as successful for the Celtics this year. While I still think they'll go deep into the playoffs, and possibly make the Finals again, they've lost a little too much of their depth to compete against the West. On that note, picking up Posey is going to be huge for the Hornets. I like them to make a run for the championship this year.

Sun's are probably my second favorite team, I hate that they traded for shaq but whatever. I feel bad for them because every season they end up getting their ass kicked by the Spurs.

From that outdoor preseason game, that Lopez kid has some serious potential.

Spurs will win it this year. Lakers got lucky, Spurs was a healthy Manu away from a another ring.

I wouldn't say lucky, and I'm having trouble determining whether or not you're being really sarcastic.

While Manu's injury did effect him to a certain extent it was Vujacic that bothered him the most. Vujacic gave him a taste of his own medicine and he couldn't take it.

Yeah suns get brutalized by every year by the spurs, have no clue when we'll get past them, but we need to play defense first. As far as the NBA goes the most fun ive had was going and watching James play for the cavs, he's super fun to watch. I like the cavs too but its because of James obv.

I moved to Florida, but I REFUSE to convert into a Miami Heat fan. Beasley/Wade/Marion is a sweet ass nucleus though, so I may reconsider >_>;

I have no team to convert to. I know a small population of people who say they'd become nets fans when they move to Brooklyn. I say fuck that. I'm all up for the knicks tanking, moving whatever shitty contracts they can to clear up salary. offer James the key to the city, a black book with every call girl's numbers, all the money in the world, and basically sell to him that if he signs with NYK, and gets a ring here, he will be bigger than jesus. until then, fuck the Knicks

That can't happen. Even with all of their newfound cap space, neither the Knicks or Nets can offer Wade/James superior contracts compared to their current teams.

I can see James moving for less money, but Wade has little reason to. Even if he did go somewhere for less money it'd be the Bulls before the Knicks/Nets.

It was more of sarcastic joke because some idiot on TNT was talking about it, but with all the moves New Jersey have been doing in the off season, I could see them getting a team rdy for a James or Wade and Im sure James would take less money to go to a team that has a better chance of giving him what he needs to win a ring since obviously clevland have no clue how to do so.

Spurs all the way, if not them, Roclets or New Orleans if they're lucky. I'm really excited for Cleveland this year since they got Williams, also, Portland is going to be so fun to watch, Rudy Fernandez is INSANE. Boston's 15 minutes are up.

Sasha could never guard a healthy Manu. The Suns play the Spurs tonight, and I have a bad feeling for the Spurs with no Manu. If the Suns don't win tonight, then it will look horrible.

Oden's foot/ankle injury looked bad when he did it, but it won't be season ending.

I don't see any Charles Barkley like personas in the current NBA. I miss the Round Mound of Rebound. No one has that much fire as he did. Damnit. Here's a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_v9XE7BijJA

Lakers looked great last night, glad to see Ariza finally showing his ability.

Really do feel bad for Oden though, hope it's nothing serious and he recovers soon.

I might agree with you if it was a broken limb or something but Manu's injury was a broken nail......which was easily repaired with a fake nail.
