Default Must See Levels

Now that the game is all but out, figured i would update this a bit for when servers wake up. I don't think that a level has to be ridiculously amazing to be in this topic, but at least inspiring in some way. Some of these levels aren't the best, but i think each one has something unique in it that warrants a playthrough. Of course, some really are insanely good. The ones i think are MUST PLAY levels are blue, but all are worth checking out.

Hollow Bastion
Dark Haunted Level

Construction Site
(1 and 2)
Good early use of machinery

Houston We Have a Problem

Ninja Warrior

Little Big Colossus
Spawn/checkpoint problem has been fixed

Green Hill Zone Act 1, 2, and 3
Decent Sonic homages

Heist 1 (and 2)

Azure Palace

This level's main draw to me, is the creativity that went into the overall look. You are supposed to believe that you are underwater for the majority of this level and I think that the creator did a very good job of creating that illusion. The only drawbacks i have really are that you CAN sort of get stuck. You need to have a key with you for most of the levels later portion. I did well up until nearly the end where I got hit and the key got dropped and lost. From there I only had the option to restart the level. =(

Illumina Garden (i think...)
AMAZING use of light. The level itself is a bit short, but I was very impressed with what the creator did with it. The level is essentially totally black, and the only light you get is from objects that they created in the level. Very ingenious i think.

Jade Temple (by Krizshtun)
There is a decent amount of difficulty in this level, at least in a few areas. I think overall though, it is really well done. Good use of music, creative puzzles, nice theme overall.

Jail Break

Space Oddity (by RoboDracula)

The Haunted Village (by Pirate-Hat)

Veins (by RagnarokRed)

Save The Princess (by Mick66)

Kitty Palooza (by Dawglet)

EarthMusic (by EarthMusic)
Japanese creator, look for Japanese characters in the title also. This level is HARD at parts, but really well done.

World of Color (by Geosautus)

God of War (by Geosautus)

Garden 1.1 (by Geosautus)

Mad Mansion (by Geosautus)

Fable of Souls (by Jemi-maru)
Excellent use of light here, and a very nice track/vehicle that utilizes Rubber to travel upside down. Simple, but very pretty. (His tutorial below)

Reinheart's Playground (by... Reinheart)

Levels by BG'ers:
GP Forever Tree (Graelinn)
GP Forever Mine (Graelinn)
Man in the Moon (LadyMorrigan - Izembo's wife)

Excellent How To Videos:
Elevator w/ Doors and Music (by Reinheart)
Internal Combustion Engine
Insanely Amazing Randomizer... (by Reinheart)
Wall Climbing Vehicle (by Jemi-maru)
Two Cylinder Engine
How to make an "OR" switch
How to make an Arming switch
The ever useful... Permanent Switch

I felt that the design on Little Big Colossus was pretty shitty. If you miss that single jump off the rocket horse where it falls into the bed of spikes, you can't continue the level. That was just stupid, imo.

Oh don't get me wrong, i am not saying these levels are full of perfection, but i definitely like what they did in general. It is exciting to me to think what will be out there 2 months from now.

Haven't tried out very many yet, but Ninja Warrior is def. my favorite so far. Best score I've managed is 3750 and I'm sitting here trying to figure out ways I can shave more time off the run, lol.

For sure. And I didn't mean to make it sound like you were implying that they were perfect, just pointing out a kind of nasty flaw in one of the stages.

God of War level is insane.

Holy shit, playing the PS3 vs 360 level and take the 360 route, it's hilarious. (I have it hearted so check mine to find it quick..)
Another cool one is the "To Zanarkand" level, you basically push a rock and the level is designed to play that song out of the FFX OST for you... not sure how you do it, but it sounded pretty damn accurate if he made it all by himself.

You should be sorry! =P

So right now what is everyone's utmost favorite level? I have to say that mine would have to be any of Geosautus's levels. His levels are the first that REALLY make me want to get 100% on them because he makes it challenging to do so... but not impossible.

His God of War is excellent. World of Colour is simple, but still unique, and his Garden level is really really well done also. I like that he makes you really look for his secret hidden areas, and rewards you for No Death runthroughs.

It is fun to notice where people seem to be focusing their attention. You of course have 900 rocket cars, and about 400 levels with the word Balloon in them, but when you see one that really makes you realize another facet of this game, see a truly unique way to apply something new to a level... it is awesome.

I wonder if i have played that one yet, i know i have played a couple MGS levels. In that one, do you get the Cardboard Box "Monster" Item as a reward at the end?

I found a funny one (to me) last night... the level is seriously 30 seconds long... It is called Super Short Sulk or something like that. Search for Sulk or find Geosautus (GoW, Black, World of Colour!) and look at his hearted creators.

I was very impressed with a level called Jade Temple. If you look for it, make sure you play the one created by Krizshtun as there is another one too but this is the one i am suggesting. He also has a couple other levels, one of which is called Assassin's Creed i think. I haven't checked it out yet.

Most of you have already seen the Gradius 'homage' and since the title is in Japanese I can't help you with the name, but I will try to remember to post the Creator's name. He also made a quick Guitar Hero / DDR type game.

Also, Azure Palace, while containing a few flaws (can't get to the end if you screw up and lose the key) is still very impressive.

Unfortunately, all these levels based off of other video games or video game characters are being deleted due to copyright infringement.

Yeah, that is what i hear. Posted a bit about it in the LBP Topic, links to the articles and official forums and so on.

I just wonder what will be left. Also i find it ironic(funny?)... that Geosautus was interviewed by Media Molecule as a "Creator Pick" here. I am very curious to see if his God of War level gets the boot. It is by far one of the most played levels out there, and for good reason.

I only hope to see a surge of amazing original games after this purge...

surge... purge... i am awesome.
