They already released the entire Death Magnetic album (Metallica for those of you who are a bit slow), as well as 2 free track packs including Anything by Endless Sporadic and Electrorock by Sworn on one, and the two guitar battles in the other.

And I also saw a Classic Rock pack last night that was released (and they finally separated the damn songs like HMX does, so you can buy them separately):
Hot Blooded by Foreigner, Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield, and Rock and Roll Band by Boston. Prices are the same as RB's songs.

If you play with the RB drum kit, the game drops a note out of the charts so you only see the 4 that you have (so essentially, it looks identical to RB), so buying the drums isn't a necessity.

Now I just hope they actually keep up with DLC.

Hmmm, seeing repeats from Rockband 2 makes me cringe a little bit, but also seeing that RB drums are compatable with GH, I may pick this up now. I dunno though still...

Billy Corgan looks like a cancer patient in this game...god I wish Neversoft would fire their art department and hire some people who can reasonably model human beings.

The local band play doesn't let you play individual songs from a set, you HAVE to play all of them to progress in the game. At least Rock Band gives you sets you can create yourself...

I don't know quite how I feel about GHWT's fail system. It's nice that you get to continue playing but the point at which the band fails as a whole feels random. If you're concentrating hard on the notes as they come down it's too much work to flick your eyes to the upper left corner at the teeny tiny 'rock' meter they've clung to since the first fucking game.

I'm not a fan of every member sharing the one rock meter, either.

While I'm griping, let me hope and pray that they patch in the ability to change song difficulty after you fail a song. I'm not too crazy about having to swap guitar controllers with someone else if I feel like changing from guitar <-> bass mid-set, either.

GH3 songs were in RB1, who cares? Most of the songs they picked were probably extremely easy to license, too easy to skip out on. Besides, most of the songs that appear in both games are actually GOOD (well except for 2 or 3 that I really can't stand anymore after the tour mode in RB2 made me play them 5000 times), so I don't really mind.

I'm extremely disappointed with the new guitar... and in the fact that they kept the same fucked up calibration system from GH3 that doesn't do SHIT no matter how many times you try to do it.

I swear, every time I do the calibration I get completely different numbers. 1 run gave me 33/39 and then another gave me 6/25, WTF? It's impossible to hit stuff like i dunno, the entire Death Magnetic album?, when you have to alt strum quickly and you just keep dropping notes (and see the chart glitch on you and show the circles passing the line where they're supposed to be strummed, and yet the multiplier somehow is maintained...)

I'm honestly thinking that I should buy another Les Paul.

And that's without even talking about how awful the menus are lol... I feel like i'm navigating through GH2 again.

After like 3 hours my calibration is almost perfect heh... guess it will have to do for now.
This setlist > RB2 imo... I'm enjoying most if not all the songs.

OH and if you're on the 360, someone created/uploaded an ElectroCocobo (that's how he called it >.>) song on GHTunes, it's actually pretty cool heh.

GHWT has been pretty fun the whole time i've been playing, imo it's more friendly for starters than GH3 was, the expert difficulty scale isn't as crazy as GH3's but it's still fun. GH3 and GH2 were more of a bigger challenege (Jordan + TTFAF). still Fuck YEA piracy! GHWT has some crazy fun hard songs on expert, crazy train is one of them, BYOB imo is kinda retarded... trapped under ice is a lot of fun as well. Hot for teacher's just fucking ridiculous.
