Default What are your favorite / The Best Arcade Games

Marvel vs Capcom 2, Street Fighter(s), and DDR excluded.

EDIT: Other rhythm games are OK though.

X-Men

The Simpsons

I used to drag my grandpa to the arcades every weekend to play those.

Gonna have to say Simpsons, that thing drained my money when I was little. Other than that DDR is probably what I've played most.

Capcom vs SNK2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oROXNdJTPHk

EDIT: Posting this one mainly because it was the first I found where someone was using my favorite team. It's not a particularly good match, but it's not too terrible either.
(Nakoruru, Hibiki, Rock although I usually give Hibiki 2 ratio instead or rock and I also tend to use K-groove)

I've hated Sagat since SF2. Playing that and having the computer spam nothing but:

TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER

with a TIGER UPPERCUT thrown in every once in a while to break it up.

King of Fighters 95, drew crowds of people a couple of times >_> After the PS was released, then gave up on arcades ;o

Btw, which company used "desperation" moves first in their fighting games SNK or Capcom? Wasn't Snk's "The Art of Fighting" the first one?

Forgot Samurai Showdown 1 & 2.

I don't know which was first... back in the day I was strictly SNK.
Only Capcom fighter I played was SF2.

I liked The Grid, but I think that game may have hurt my arm with it's trackball.

I liked it, but it wasn't favorite/best material

CvS2 and Virtual ON are the only ones that really hold that spot for me.

Old tmnt games.

Turtles in time and the manhattan project are both really fun, plus playable on old consoles.

I actually found a working Simpsons arcade game in a pizza place last year. My wife didn't understand until I got her to play too.

I loved San Francisco Rush as well as the 2049 sequel. I and a friend got pretty damn good at it and spent quite a bit of money too, hah.

The Simpsons game and X-Men are also favorites of mine, mostly due to the fact that they were installed on the BC Ferries ships that went between Swartz Bay and Tswassen. For anyone that grew up in the CRD or i
