Any of you have downloaded Valkyria Chronicles from the PSN? I think it's only available for those in Europe atm. The game is a fusion between RPG and... tactical war type of thing. Also, the art direction was awesome w/ cell graphics. I remember watching the trailers and it looked pretty cool. Here's the website w/ vids in case some of you haven't seen any:

Too bad I haven't had the time to try it since I have a shiton of work to do... ;x Anyways, I hope it's good and maybe Sega won't screw up this one too.

Even if the game ended up terrible it would still be awesome because it has Vyse and Aika in it. And I believe Qore subscribers in America have access to the demo too, but if you don't/aren't a subscriber you can just make a European PSN account.

I don't think it's coop. I haven't dl the demo because I was doing minor renovations to my place. Someone needs to try it.

i dont like how its a war-pased type game ;; i never really got into games like advanced wars and whatnot, despite the good reviews they got. Eh, i should try it out anyways, maybe itll keep me awake.
But i love the cell shading in this. I never seen so much detail put into this kind of game before. DL'ing the demo now!

It's not cel shading whore, it's color pencil get it right.

hahahah... whatever it is it is pretty. I liked the demo quite a bit, but I already was pretty excited about this game. Good strategy involved and it does a good job, i think, of not making you feel like you are too boxed in as far as options go.

Another on my very long list of 'do-wants' for the next few months =(

It is ridiculous that those of us in the US have to subscribe to QORE to have access to the Demo.

So... i suddenly remembered that my long lost cousin lives at a nice posh Hotel in Manchester UK. He was uh... over at my house, so we had to set him up with an account on my PS3. He thought the UK Demo of Valkyria was pretty kickass too. =P

Agreed, I played it a few days ago and instantly fell in love with how different it is. Not to mention the visual style is fucking beautiful. I can't wait for friday.

Tried it, and it's awesome. I wasn't expecting it to be this tactical just by the few small battles, but it's all cool in my book. The cell shading is pretty cool to look at and has a certain comicish charm to it. I'll keep an eye for this game. Last, it'd be cool if they include some sort of co op or vs.
