Anyone get there code yet? Apparently they are being sent out rather soon and the beta will be starting within a week.
The mulit-player footage has me stoked. 4 Perks maybe? 3 Kill streak = attack dogs. 5 kill streak = artillery attack. 7 = ? :: PLAYING NOW, WILL UPDATE ON OP :: Just going to EDIT this post with what i see. CTF back 3 kills = Recon plane (UAV) 5 kills = artillery. very brutal, lasts a long time. At least 15-20 secs. 7 = fucking attack dogs from hell. Seriously fuck these dogs. (Same way I feel about helicopters) Plays like COD4, but WW2 style. (No shit) Environments are a lot more crowded, which is a good thing. This game is going to be completely wild on hardcore. Honestly this game makes me want to play Sniper Elite again. cap is 11. Exp gained is based on damage you deal, even if you don't get the kill. They need to work on the sound. Its dull. Its the right sounds, and would be awesome if they were x10 more crisp. But right now it downright sucks.

To dismiss this as a "meh another WW2 game" is pretty short sighted. You need to check this out, even to try it out. It definitely breaths new life into a genre of shooters I left shortly have my DoD days. I think the last WW2 console shooter I tried was frontline...
The difference between this and COD4 is what will sell this game. The maps feel more "open" and not as linear as the block by block style maping of COD4. COD4 maps are definitely "Always go this way, or that way" Its not the case for this, simply because of their design. Reviewers and previewers have already hinted that the single player runs along the same route in level design, so this fact alone puts a difference between W@W and every other.... shooter... out there. People, as well as myself, have this idea in their head about WW2 games. Block by block, nazi by nazi, go here, go there objectives in some drowsy looking European front. What will seperate this from those game is the environment change combined with the new gameplay type. Just playing the 2 japanese levels on the Beta give you a solid sense of what could play out more like a "ghost recon" ww2 style game compared to just another WW2 game. The co-op... If ANYTHING sells this game past the WW2 revisit fact, this will do it. After playing the beta you get a sense of how much of a blast the campaign mode, or any mission based level would be a blast co-op. My roomate and I are more excited about the co-op then the conventional COD4 level up system. The level up is generally why we spend so many hours in these games.

Three so far. 2 Maps, the smaller European train map, and the Japanese city block, are average sized for COD. There is another Japanese night map that takes place in huts above the water. You get a sense that this is a much larger map simply b/c of the diversity of the terrain. You can go under the huts, both on the beach and the water. You can hang out around the edges in the water. Theres a small patch of jungle you can hang out at at the side of the map. This map reminds me of an older Ghost Recon AW map.
