What build do YOU use?

Other than some light touching on it in other threads, no one else has really talked about what builds they use for their pets. They discuss potential builds and such, but not many mention what they actually settled on, so that begs the question listed in the title:

What build do YOU use?

In the spirit of good faith, heres my builds:

Cave Antlion:

The auto-regen is innate.

Chigoe (I know, it kinda sucks. I just settled):

The +15% attack is innate.

Crawler (my wife did the same for this pet. Just kinda settled):

The +15% defense is innate.

Doom Toad (in like 80 pics, this was the best we got):

The +15% hp and Arcana Killer are innate.

So Now, what do YOU use?

My orobon and crab both fail + never made it to 50 so I won't post about those.

My current bee has attack speed lvl 50, attack bonus lvl 50, attack +15%, dispel attack.

It has points for something small still but I'm not sure what to put. It's currently level 40 and it's pretty fun to play with.

Bloody Butcher, my first mob. A big failure. Qutrub DRK = took like four times the damage of anything else. I tried to counter that with the added plates, but didn't help enough.


Corne Vermin, bunny, easily my most successful mob. Psudo-NIN -- the evasiveness of a NIN without the casting to trigger side attacks.


Merciless Hunter, opo-opo. Buggy auto-regain = failure. I might go back and fiddle with him more though, see if I can make it work.


Poison Stalker, bee. My first mob with an en-damage effect. That rocks so much! We had one fight against a qutrub DRK. En-light (against undead), plus qutrub's horrible defense, plus DRK's even worse defense = sex


No clue what I'm going to work on next. I'm thinking something not many people are using like a lesser bird, crawler, single bomb, or something.

I'd like to see what Wivre owners use for their builds.. I'm working on mine right now. Damage Resistance Bonus/Phalanx/Job Trait: WAR is all it has right now. I can't get it to use Granite Skin either.. but its only lv27 right now.

I'm still leveling sleep having settled on it late, so I'm not sure if I'll keep it, needs more testing. He has a good HP/Defense rating so I might replace Stoneskin with Crit+10 or Stoneskin/Sleep with Crit rate/Blink. I held 2 draws in Diablo which I wasn't present for, and watched one against an Instant Phalanx/some sort of defense bonus mimic where he hit for 0 the entire time, 6ish crit and 15-20 big scissors which is weaker than even some BLM types I've seen fighting this mimic. He has also never countered and didn't guard much on very defensive so I might take off MNK traits too until they fix bugs.

Does well in Diablo, best streak is 28 wins. Wasn't too good until I added the THF job traits. The added evasion really made it hard for the opponents to hit or damage him while he eats them up.

And I still get stomped in Diablo by Phalanx, Stoneskin, Blink cheese-fest. The sleep attacks don't seem to proc enough to make a difference. They did once but I still lost by one hit. -.-

Hyper Hexer has Attack Speed Bonus and HP +15% innate.

I slapped on Additional Ice Damage, Monk Traits, and Instant Phalanx, and it can win in Diablos about 2/3rds of the time. Never really keep a good streak going though. Somehow, there's rabbits that hit like a truck and take no damage and I don't know what the hell they have on them but it really irks me that the only things worth using are Endispel and Phalanx.

Neira, what temperament does your crab has?
I playing with mine.. but cant seem to find the correct one ( scissor guard ws , run from enemy ws , cast cures a lot) <- aka chiken crab

he is extremely Tame and Extremely Defensive. he doesnt run though, he will circle on spells for a side hit, same when opponet does a defensive ability, and does scissor guard against an aggresive WS, sometimes he will do bubble curtain against enspell fighters, wich severly kills the DD output of it. and he heals around 70% until he runs out of mana or maxs HP again. If i tell him think thinkagain, he likes to spam banish II and flash and buff himself, so becareful with that, in general i just tell him to guard parry hold once and he will do the rest from there.

I'm really happy with this guy (my second attempt). Took me 400 plates to get the native, but well worth the effort.

I use a Cave Antlion, haven't much of a chance to level anything else yet. (It is a WAR main job like other Cave Antlions).

-Instant Phalanx (a bit under leveled)

He's not doing so hot in Diablo, but then again, he has been fighting the seemingly overpowered mimics. I'm thinking of trying to fit En-Dispel in there, but I'm not sure it'll fit without losing too much.
