Hopefully this hasn't been posted before...
So I went to add a new skill to my rabbit today and the guy told me that I could not add another skill without removing one. I had enough FP, so it seems there's a limit on the amount of skills we can add to a monster. I have 5 added skills and 2 innates, so I'm assuming that means the cap for added skills is 5. Totally blows. EDIT: Thought about it for a bit - my rabbit is level 46, I wonder if maybe you get more "skill slots" as you level, like blue magic. Anyone willing to test this as they level up? Or I can after I finish the rabbit out. I thought the point system was enough of a limitation, but no.... SE has to be "fun." |

This is already discussed in a number of posts already. There is a cap of how many skills you can add. It might depend on the mob type or something cause I thought it was 6.

I had one innates and could only add 6 more. Sucks, as I have a crapload of FP left. On a side note, this will mean you have to be careful about your starter mob. If it has a good innate as well as lizard killer or something sucky, remeber that that will tie up one of your slots with something useless...

You can only aquire a max of 2 innate skills (most common being one from the plate the other is a Resist <type>) In addition your pet only only have 5 additional plates attached to it, no matter if you have extra FP or not. The best way to think of Pankration soulplates is to think of layers of colored glass. Add to many and the image degrades, dont add enough and it shatters on the first hit. |

I'm pretty sure its 5 skills NOT counting your innates. I have a crab with 5+1skills, cant put more on him, have a Couerl with 5+2 cant put any more on him, a penguin with 5+1 no more for him, so count on 5skills aside from your innates being the cap reguardless of pet type, unless i got a bit of luck had had 3species with the same cap. the penguin has less FP at max so i dont think thats the case.
