Camino was the Firefox 2.x-era fork to add Cocoa (native OS X) support rather than just the ugly Carbon version. It mostly went away when FF3 added Cocoa support in the main version.

Personally, I use portable FF from a flash drive at work, gogo best of both worlds.

Wow @ how far Netscape has fallen. I knew it wasn't a common browser anymore, but only 1 out of 5000 people?

We're supposed to be using IE at work, but I keep reinstalling Firefox. I have no idea how people use IE by choice, have you people never tried Firefox? Arg!

To quote my old IT manager (he was a fucking bag of shit) after he caught me with Firefox:

Uninstall that please. That is a security threat.
How I LOLed after he left the office.

Side note, I'm surprised people still use netscape....

You should get portable Firefox so you don't have to keep reinstalling.

Also, Opera represent!

I was told that firefox was a security threat and I loled before my boss left the office, he said I better have a good reason to humiliate him in such a manner. I pointed him towards several articles that lambasted the IE he had, then pointed him to noscript and such. Not long after he had this brilliant idea that we should all switch to ff. Douchebag that he is, no real ideas, just sneaky hands to steal.

That's exactly what they told me, too! I just sort of stared at him. How in the world can you be an IT person and think IE is more secure than Firefox?

I installed FF on my mom's work laptop so that she was less likely to blow it up, but whatever the admin settings were on there wouldn't allow it to connect via FF. I've already exploded one PC here at my job(was some kinda HD meltdown, don't think it was neccesarily my fault) and at this point I just kinda figure if they want to risk it I'll use whatever they want, but don't yell at me when my porn infects your network.

I unfortunately cannot use firefox to log into my university website, so I have to keep IE around just for that, pretty sucktastic. Then again, this is the same school that anyone in the world can access the name, phone, address, and email of any student or faculty at the school without logging into anything...smart people are smart!

Old habits die hard on the IE thing, I'm sure. I was using it for a really long time until it "stopped working" (love vista's error messages) like 6 times in one day and I got fed up with the freezing. Some people just really are stubborn and don't want to change, I was one of them. Then I also realized the value of my account and really didn't want to get screwed over.

Besides, the FFXI toolbar is pretty badass.

I browse the shit out of BG on my iPhone. I bet 1/2 of those Safari stats are from people using their iPhones lol.

The thing is, the average IT person doesn't think. They do what the vendors and their IT plans tell them to do, anything else is "a security threat".

My company still uses IE. But then again we are still stuck in the stoneage with WYSE boxes and a Mainframe. Gotta love JCL and SAS.

Same here, I wonder how much Safari was used before the Iphone 3G was introduced.

I use IE at work and FF at home... I don't browse anything remotely harmful at work (not at home either!) so not worried about not having NoScript & Adblock

I think I occupied PSP a few times out of sheer boredom.
