Ok making an official thread to start organizing the first ever FailFest. Basically for those who didn't read the fanfest thread, SE sucks and fanfest was sold out in 8 hours, leaving many bg people without tickets. So, we're still going to have fun by going to SixFlags Magic Mountain.

DATE: 12/06/2008

Current Schedule:

Meeting: Time: 9:00 Place: Right Outside Gate

Meeting info: Park opens at 10:00, but we will be handing out t-shirts/tickets/taking attendance/etc. Sorry it's an hour long but I don't want to rush and lose out on park time. If there is not a lot of people coming I will make the time later. Whatever time it is please please please try to be on time (this isn't dynamis damn it), so things can go smoothly.

Lunch: Time: 12:30-1:30 Place: TBA

Since hours so short going to have lunch time be our social time. Please come to the designated place during that time to eat/drink/and complain about FF!

Park Closing (gather together): 6:00 Place: outside gate

Final Farewell/Dinner: Time: 6:00-7:00? Place: TBA

Because hours are off-season and short we figured to go to dinner and chat. Depending on how many people we get will decide this greatly. Any suggestions is appreciated.

Note: Your name/server will get printed on your t-shirt to personalize it. In order to get a personalized t-shirt you MUST pre-order your ticket. We will make extras for those who don't but for obvious reasons it won't have your name/server on them.

UPDATE: you can preorder tickets up till 12/2 but names on t-shirts are now locked.

Also, if you have a place where a few could stay, or you need a place to stay post in this thread. Sorry since organizing rest, I really have to leave it up to you to provide your own hotel.

However, we can try to organize a pickup from hotels so you don't have to buy a rental car, or have to walk too far. Try to keep hotel stays as close to 6flags as possible though if you want a pick up (not driving all around cali to get you guys).

I'd like this to go smoothly as possible so any help is appreciated. Let's have a lot more fun at Failfest than Fanfest guys!

Then come! It seems a lot of people live in cali were planning on going to fanfest and didn't manage to get tickets. I had enough people that seem interested enough to post this. The more people coming the better imo!

Current plan:

I'd like to go, but fuck, Cali is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar. No job = no money, and like Chubbs, that's really close to finals.

I'd have to see what I can scrounge up, maybe if some other local friends want to go we could figure something out.

Loving the name, too, Failfest has an awesome ring to it.

Oh, small note of importance:

Hours for this day are 10 am to 6 pm. Its the slow time of year for amusement parks.
For reference, Disneylands attendance:

Why do I think this carries over to six flags? They have the park closed for during the weekdays the first 2 weeks of December. Lets pray they're not super gay and have rides not working.

Skipping dinner event then, we can have final fairwell @ like 5 pm. Going to have gathering time at 9:00, since we'll be meeting each other/handing out shirts/sorting out tickets etc.

If I am reading the date right, that's 6th of December?

Temptation rising... will all depend on how our dollar is between now and then since booking a flight can be upwards of 3k.
