Yeah, it's Odin, but even so I have never in the entire time of playing have ever not be able to log on because of congestion.

Nothing really amazing about this, its all the free trial people congesting everything. Just because some people registered the free trial and you cannot log-in doesn't mean the game is perfectly fine.

Your logic escapes me. Please to be explaining how more people in the game means that there aren't more people in the game?

I am definitely not saying that the game is perfect, far from it, but usually a game that is dying doesn't have so many people playing it that you can't log on for the first time ever. /shrug.

peek JP time+14day free play+ fucktone of people on odin= no log on. drop SE something about it maybe they will do something. i know 10 people myself that picked it up without me telling them. think about that.

People playing for free does not mean FFXI is not dying, it means people are giving the game a try. Now go along and blog about this.

Another thing, if you actually think 3/4 of those accounts created are new players...that's hilarious. Most of the people I've seen even trying the free trial are people who already have accounts using the extra account for some malicious purpose.

its not dead/ going to. SE was just not ready to the 14day free people. thats all. give it time it will be fixed.

how many people play on odin? think about it even if 25% of the people told their friends about the 14 day thing thats up to 25% more people >.>.

Compared to Sylph's usual 1300 people through the week, that's pretty amazing to me.

(2100 people at 2 PM EST on a Saturday, max I ever see anymore is 3000 on a Saturday night)

Somehow I doubt it.

I'll take the lowering of Mythic weapon requirements to just needing 15,000 Imperial gold coins.

Few people say FFXI is dead these days. Anytime you hear it is from an outsider's opinion(and an uneducated one) or an upset fan or quitter trying to put weight behind his complaints.

We'll reach as low as 2500 in the early afternoon (really the only time you can merit in Thickets without getting cockblocked by 4-5 parties in in MJSP/Nyzul)

It's pretty terrible as unless you're doing some instanced shit, xp'ing/farming/camping NM's, playing during Friday-Sunday nights is rather worthless.

This has been absolutely ridiculous seeing all the people that don't understand sarcasm. Especially every other post by dejet lol.

Anyway, hopefully they won't try and divide some servers such as Odin because of this. Because I'm personally just using the free account for personal reasons and once it expires I'll be getting rid of that character. I can assume others are doing the same thing.
