Moogle Japery? So basically some form of a joke...Maybe a costume? lol. I originally thought because of the KrkaenDRK and PLD it might be like some form of HP+ but ehhhh.
In any case, when I saw that pic a few days ago I was still taken aback by the fact they fully know of (and promote?) kraken DRKs and typical kraken setups. What's even more fun is that he's in sea, hoho. |

Hmm this is 100% speculation.... but japery means to act like a buffoon or fool. Maybe they are introducing "Confuse" on mobs finally? I hope it's not something retarded though like getting a message "HA the joke's on you! We got your $40!"

Wow they are bad with homophones, are they two for two in their last two announcements now?
I'd be embarrassed if I worked in their PR department. MS Word spelling and grammar check sucks, never rely on that for proofreading unless you want to look like an idiot. |

Looking at their schedule, it's a shame they aren't fitting more presentation content since they've compressed it to a single day. Two one-hour Development Panel sessions don't suggest much in terms of content or real audience QA, especially since they tend to end early. I'd guess they're going to cover it up a little by announcing something big instead (eg., stringing SMNs along a little more: "those avatars you wanted are coming...really, really soon!", announcing new expansion details, etc.)
There's a lot of opportunity to fit in other activities in that four-hour block in the middle of the day, and unfortunately things like a fifteen-minute tarutaru race and previewing a version update (instead of a new expansion) aren't really going to hold many peoples' attention for long... If anyone from SE is reading: if you are doing another set of BCNMs this year (Heroes Battle, etc.), could you consider hooking up a video feed from the participating machines to the main theatre area when there's no presentations going on? If anything, it'll give people something entertaining to watch instead of a looping demo or a static, uninteresting image to stare at. You're right, you would have been embarrassed by "fixing" word choice that was correct from the start. Last edited by Teorem; 10-14-2008 at 02:54 PM. |

Hahah lol, guess I was still stuck on the "peach" thing from the last notice. I've actually never seen pore used unless it's in the past tense or as an action (pored, poring). Homophones biting me in the ass today. D:

Mental note to self:
Last year they gave away what the special event was in the program guide, but it was a small one liner that I didn't read until after the event. I'll have to go home and find my bag but it was thanking one of the musicians (not a star onion) for coming for the musical performance. Note to SE: dont make the special event suck this year. The musical number was fine but everyone there was expecting something earth shattering and when the band was revealed it was a let down.
