Extra Life. Gamers Compete, Kids Win

This is a very important event. Fans of Limit Break Radio know we've mentioned the Sarcastic Gamer podcast more then a few times, well the Sarcastic Gamer community has pulled together to start Extra Life. Extra Life is a 24 hour game playing event on Saturday, October 18th 2008 to raise money and awareness for the cause of pediatric cancer. Extra Life is much like a walk-a-thon, where you find sponsors to donate money for each mile you walk or run, well with Extra Life your goal is to find sponsors (your mom, dad, uncle, grandparents, friends, etc) to sponsor your 24 hours of gameplay. Sponsorships can be anywhere from $1 and up per hour, and all this money is being donated to the Texas Children's Hospital to help fight pediatric cancer and help children who can't afford treatment to get the treatment that they need. If you cannot play, you can still just donate to the cause, see the last link at the bottom.

I have to say that our donation campaign has been extremely successful, and I have to thank all of you who have donated thus far. But this is a cause that supersedes everything. So, much like 'Limit Break Radio's Fanfest and New Equipment Fund' those that participate in Extra Life as a part of Team Limit Break Radio, we'll be hosting a 24-hour SkypeCast! The Limit Break Radio studios are going to be converted to the Team Limit Break Radio Command Center.
