We all know about the Gardening bans already. This is not meant to be a QQ post. This is a warning based on how it seems SE is auto-jailing real players and confusing them with RMTs.

As an experiment I made a trial account (on a laptop, on a connection other than my home DSL because I'm paranoid). Went outside, fought a few things till I got a crystal.

Went back into mines, NPCed a single wind crystal to Proud Beard. Logged off.

Checked back later that night. LM-17. It seems that NPCing things to that galka, even a single crystal, is an instant ban.

Think maybe it's limited to 14 day trials? That would a bit make more sense on SE's part; though I seriously wouldn't risk it at this point...

If it was Wdskghks then I can see why SE could get the wrong end of the stick.

But even then a perma ban for playing? Christ I was lvl 3-4 before I used the AH, I npced everything in the first few hours of play.

That's the main NPC I usually sell stuff to the few times I'm in Bastok just because he's on the way to the Mog House/Auction House.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was limited to trial accounts, but even then that's stupid cause real players will likely do it and getting banned for no reason isn't gonna make them want to keep playing.

Seriously SE, don't put auto-jailer shit on legit actions just because its the easy way out. Banning legit players does not help your reputation.

If it gets to be a big enough issue like PW was and gains media attention then they'll care. Doubt this will get that big but they still care to an extent.

That's my point. People hate SE, but still want to play SE's next game.

SE having a bad rep does not affect the amount of people that currently play XI or will play XIV.

I doubt 90% of the players have had their own experience with SE's poor customer service.. they've just heard of other players getting owned by GM's/Cs, and thus 'have a problem' with SE.

And if it's just hearing someone else get pwned, what stops them from playing FFXIV? I wouldn't *not* try the game just because someone else has had poor customer service before. If it happens to myself, repeatedly, then yeah, I might not even try the game.
