    Blade Madrigal +accuracy

A couple of years ago I tested Blade Madrigal potency and found that it was +28 at 488 skill, which was the highest I could get at the time. Now I can get up to 521, so I decided to go test it again.

It turns out that Blade Madrigal goes up to +29 at 490 skill, then +30 at 508 skill. The next tier would be at 526 skill, which I can't hit yet, so I can't test it.

Since Sword Madrigal caps at +15 accuracy, it seems reasonable that Blade would cap at +30, but I'm not sure. Someone else want to test it for me? Kirschy?

I can get close to 540 skill. How exactly are you testing it?

If you can provide detailed test setup, I can work at testing for a +31 if there is such a thing.

Find a mob that will check High Evasion for some weapon.
See how much +Acc (from gear and/or Sword Madrigal) you need to make it just tick over into neutral evasion.
Sing Blade Madrigal and see how much +Acc you need to make it just tick over into low evasion.

The difference between barely neutral evasion and barely low evasion is +40 acc. My Blade Madrigal at 519 skill gives me +38 acc (30 base + 4 merits + 4 Trav+1)

So like a Mamool Ja Lurker? What mobs are you using? (save me the time of searching the entire game to find something I can actually get to con low evasion).

    Re: Blade Madrigal +accuracy

    Just finished testing~

I was on DRK/NIN. DEX: 69. Used Warp Cudgel, Club Skill: 220.
I used BRD/WHM /w GHorn for tests. He has no Madrigal Merits.
I went to Garden of Ru'Hmet, found a ghrah and did my tests.

    /w no Madrigal:

    +43 Acc - High Evasion
    +44 Acc - High Evasion
    +45 Acc - Even Evasion

    /w Madrigal + GHorn only(502 Skill):
    +10 Acc - High Evasion
    +11 Acc - High Evasion
    +12 Acc - Even Evasion
    +13 Acc - Even Evasion

    /w Madrigal + GHorn + Skill(553 Skill):
    +10 Acc - High Evasion
    +11 Acc - Even Evasion
    +12 Acc - Even Evasion

I swapped skill gear around to see where the tier occured. 507 was the lower tier, and 508 was the higher tier. Easy Conclusion, Blade Madrigal caps at +34 accuracy /w +2 Instrument, 508 skill gear, and no merits. (I has some pictures /w the equipment and /checks used if needed, but I'm lazy so I didn't bother uploading.)

Interesting to note, 508 is not a skill tier for Victory March.

Are we certain that Madrigal is constant bonus like this? It might be a percentage based increase like Hunter's Roll and Sushi.

with the 553 skill there is a 44 acc differential this works out to 22% accuracy. Just something to think about.

Edit, as an additional note this might make sense with a 20% base accuracy bonus + 2 from Gjallarhorn.

Yes, we are. Level 75 Madrigal/Minuet turns any lowbie job into a melee powerhouse.

    Thanks Kirschy

Not to get off topic or anything but I always thought Hunter's Roll was a static bonus to ACC/RACC, not a percentage. Have they changed it recently or something?

    Re: Blade Madrigal +accuracy

I was thinking more in terms of hunters roll being an acc+% instead of a static accuracy+ bonus.

So if you have an A+ Rated weapon Hunter's Roll will give you more acc+ than if you had C rated weapon.

It will also give more acc to a 75 than it will to a 40

My mistake, it is a static bonus, I had always believed it was percentage based.

    Re: Blade Madrigal +accuracy

I'm pretty sure that the patch the updated corsair roll changed it. If you're also refering to wiki there have been no real tests to prove it other than a few tests that people have done at 75. They could be percentage based or level based (easy way to determine it is have a 75 cor buff a lower level and see their acc increase in comparison to a lowerlevel). The only way someone could really do accurate tests for percent if someone does tests at each interval at 5 and does accuracy checks based on skill and such. No one just wants to dedicate time to corsair rolls anymore or it's hard since their skills are all capped or something along those lines and I know I for one won't because I'm lazy. But a good way to just disprove it is just think about it. Would SE really give COR +65 to acc at level 11?
